I stopped by a store today in Capitol Hill called Velouria.  A very sweet boutique with terribly tasteful clothes and accessories.  I found the staff's lack of attitude refreshing.  And best of all, I was really pleased to find a new dress by Anne Kimball.  Her designs are very simple, sweet and vintage-inspired.  My favorite combination.  Her sizing is simple - 1, 2, 3 = S, M, L.  And I am very pleased to find that Large actually fits as a Large.  You can click the photo below to check out her current and previous seasons collections.

I want to ride my bicycle...

I just bought my first big girl road bike yesterday and now I am feeling all growed up!  Only bummer is I won't actually get to ride it until two weeks from now.  Once the shop has her all tricked out with new pedals, handle bars and fenders, she will be ready to go! 

I spent a bunch of time online figuring out the differences between bikes.  I knew my price-point, learned about components, materials and as much bike jargon as possible so I wouldn't feel like a total dork walking in.  In the end, I bought a 2009 Scott Contessa Speedster 30.  I actually narrowed the search down on Sunday to the equivalent 2010 model.  I didn't want to buy anything until I did some more "research".  On Monday I moseyed over to REI to gander at their selection.  I was delighted to see the bike I had been happy with on Sunday was available and it since it was last year's model, it was even cheaper!

So all that is left is for me to decide on shoes.  After that I should be ready to roll.
