Alex grew up in MN. He always explained to me that MN is a 'flyover' state. Up until this month, I had never been there. Last weekend we visited Nick, Andrea and Henry in Minneapolis for Henry's third birthday. We were able to sprinkle our trip with a little tourism, a dash of gluttony and a heavy helping of fun. Andrea was a wonderful hostess (as expected) and their new home is beautiful. It was also great to see Fen and Henry playing so well together. Henry loved Fen. And Fen was so patient with Hen. It didn't bother him that Henry kept calling him Ben. It was actually very cute.
I cannot explain it but Fen LOVES A Prairie Home Companion. He gets totally sucked in every Saturday and is upset when we have to turn it off. We were able to squeeze in seeing it live at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul. It was great. Martin Sheen was the guest and it was really cool seeing it in St. Paul.
We also had a chance to check out the Walker. I am jealous! The SAM just reopened this past year and it is no where near as cool.
