I have had the entire house to myself for the whole weekend. I almost went to Chicago but then I decided I would be better staying at home. I used to have "sick days" from school. My mom would let me stay home alone and I would clean the entire house. It was theraputic. I came from a five person household and I guess I just enjoyed my space. I liked playing house. I liked pretending the whole house was mine. I would turn on Madonna really loud and dance around the house while cleaning. Then after everything was clean, I would sink into a sitcom stupor and just relax.
Now that I live with two boys, the house never seems to stay clean. Whether it is Alex's piles or Fen's toys and laundry it is super hard to keep up. So this weekend I reinacted my childhood but put a little big kid spin on it. Saturday I woke up without the alarm. Then I went shopping. Then I went for a massage. Then I bought some flowers and cleaning supplies and went back home. I spent five hours cleaning the whole downstairs. Then this morning I woke up again and didn't argue with my alarm clock... I cleaned our bedroom and started attacking the piles of laundry. I took a break to run a couple of errands and then went for a two hour walk.
I have caught up with my Law and Order and CSI episodes. My last plan for the weekend is a date with Ben and Jerry and a chick flick.
I should kick the boys out more often :)

You accomplished much more then I did, but I suppose I wasn't technically alone. Next maybe you can come here and we'll listen to madonna and clean my house?
