Fen and I put together this video of our trip to Snowbird.  I promise to get more footage of Fen skiing the next time we are up somewhere locally.  Unfortunately, he was in classes most of the time we were in Snowbird.

Rainforest Research Day

Yesterday was the day that I got to go and watch Fen's 2nd grade class present their "Save the Rainforest" projects.  The kids had to pick a specific Rainforest they were going to study and put together a poster with pictures and words describing facts about particular animals & plants , the types of people who lived in their Rainforest, a food chain and a reason why we should save the Rainforest.  Fen and his Rainforest buddy chose Madagascar. 

Each pair of kids would get up in front of the class and a handful of parents and present their project by trading off using the microphone.  They actually did an excellent job.  There were a few very funny moments with the microphone and at one point I wasn't sure if one of the girls was going to pass out or pee her pants due to nervousness.  The poor thing just stood up there completely catatonic.

Then it was Fen's turn to present.  Fen chose to talk about the Day Gecko.  This was the first I had heard about the Day Gecko and given how fast Fen was speaking it kept sounding like he was saying "Gay Gecko".  I kept imagining the little dorky character that pushes Geico Insurance...

I am not sure how great my gaydar is when it comes to geckos but don't you think he could be gay?  I mean really, an actor gecko that does regular commercials and shows up throughout the website in replays of his popular "robot" commmercial, in motorcycle digs and he even has his own blog... He has a cute little english accent too.  My god he even has his own fan club!
