I am sure by now you have noticed my recent reviews on Judy's Book. I signed up for Judy's Book about a year ago but never spent time posting until recently. They just added a feature that allows you to add your reviews automatically to your Typepad Blog. It is a total win/win. For some reason I feel the need to increase my page rank and hit rate. Why is it important for lots of people to see my silly little blog? I am not really sure - it's sort of weird but the competitive part of me wants to see how many ways to do this. Each day I check my visitor stats/referrers to figure out who has visited and how they got here. I love seeing my posts show up on Google searches. It's cool. It is exactly the way that I got into reading blogs years ago. I was searching for restaurants in Seattle and a funny little blog called tastingmenu.com showed up in my search. Within a year I had a separate folder in my favorites dedicated to the blogs I regularly read. The thing that holds me back from getting even better page rank/numbers is my lack of focus. How could I really expect anyone be interested in reading my blog on a consistent basis unless you are my relative or a friend? I am okay with that. Although it is nice to get lots of visitors, my real focus has and always will be to use Typepad as a web-based brain dump.
It's really cool to see another Ignition funded company putting out a useful, user-friendly product.
