Redemption

When I was experimenting with MSN Spaces I posted the following entry.  In this months Seattle Magazine, I am in the editorials.  I was a little shocked they published it but soon realized one of the articles inside was all about local Sushi spots and guess what???  This time they didn't forget Nishino...

It's pretty great to have a group of friends that plan their leisure around food.  We had another amazing meal at Lampreia this evening in celebration of one of the crews birthdays.  I try very hard to be careful - it wasn't that long ago that I was perfectly fine eating anything.  I try to be real about this whole food thing because we can't eat every meal at Lampreia (although it would be nice). 

What was interesting was the fact that we were enjoying our meal in what we all agree to be one of the best restaurants in Seattle.  The funny thing is, if you read the most recent issue of Seattle Magazine you won't find a single mention of it.  Places like Union and Lola are fine but so dissapointing when it comes to creativity and consistency.  It's really too bad.  The other issue I have with this Best Restaurant awards issue is there is no mention from the editors on Sushi.  The only nomination was mentioned under a readers poll and sadly enough there was no mention of Nishino.  How is it that I Love Sushi can possibly out do Nishino?  If price is an issue then say so but this is supposed to be about taste.  Or maybe I am completely wrong?  What are the perameters for this election?  Is is taste or who kisses the medias ass the best?  The one well deserved award went to Lark - Jonathan Sundstrom has made a great name for himself and rightly so.  I think it is worth a re-count...
